Craft CornerDuring all their tinkering and crafting at the North Pole, the Scout Elves found a fun way to give a kid-favorite craft an extra touch of sparkle! This DIY North Pole glitter slime—also known as homemade putty—is full of sparkles that shimmer as brilliantly as freshly fallen North Pole snow. Good for hours of kneading, molding, pulling and squeezing, this squishy craft is ideal for kids who love to get their hands dirty. The best part about easy-to-make glitter slime? It’ll be ready in four simple steps!
You’ll Need:
- 1 bottle of glitter glue in a color of your choice (6 ounce)
- ½ cup liquid starch
- ¼ cup water
- Snowflake confetti/glitter
Instructions:
- MIX the entire bottle of glitter glue with ¼ cup of water, and pour it into a large bowl. The video above shows icy blue glitter putty and snowy white slime—two of the elves’ favorite North Pole–inspired colors!
- For a North Pole touch, ADD snowflake glitter, which will make your homemade slime extra sparkly.
- Gradually ADD ½ cup of liquid starch. Helpful hint: Add the starch slowly as you mix, and stop when you reach the desired consistency.
- When the glitter slime starts to look like dough, KNEAD it with your hands. Helpful hint: If the mixture gets too sticky, add a little more liquid starch.
