Even while inside, your Scout Elf won’t pass up the chance to feel as if they’re sleeping under the stars by:

  1. Placing two cups approximately 15 inches apart.
  2. Securing a Glacier Grip to the top of each cup. Helpful hint for elves: The Glacier Grips work best on smooth surfaces, like glass!
  3. Tying Candy Cane Cable from one Glacier Grip to the other, keeping the line tight.
  4. Draping a wash cloth over the Candy Cane Cable.
  5. Crawling inside the tent for a campout!

Tree Trap

Time-Saving Elf Ideas

Materials:

  • Scout Elves at Play® Stick Quick or other decorative tape
  • Yellow star

Instructions:

Your Scout Elf got so carried away while crafting a sticky tape tree for your wall that they got all tied up! To complete this funny Elf on the Shelf idea, your Scout Elf will:

  1. Tear strips of sticky tape to create the tree. The longest strip should be approximately 6 inches, and each strip should gradually get smaller.
  2. After attaching the base of the tree to the wall, add a yellow star on top. Helpful hint for elves: It could be cut out of paper or store bought.
  3. Use four additional strips of tape to secure their hat and torso to the wall on top of the tree, carefully lining up the tape with the existing tape already on the wall.
  4. Post up in their tree trap, and wait for you to find them!

Don’t Forget the Syrup

  • Color printer
  • Paper
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • Syrup bottle
  • Straw
  • Scout Elves at Play® Tools
    • Christmas Climbing Boots

Instructions:

Scout Elves love to sip syrup, and thanks to some handy tools, your elf will find an innovative way to do it!

  1. First, your elf will strap on the Christmas Climbing Boots and secure them to a flat surface. Helpful hint for elves: The Christmas Climbing Boots work best on smooth surfaces, like mirrors, glass or tile!
  2. Next, your elf will print off this funny syrup label and attach it to the bottle.
  3. After hanging upside down, your elf will stick a straw into a bottle of syrup, and take a big slurp of syrup!

This little stack of flapjacks is perfectly sized for an elf, but you can enjoy this treat, too! To make you a treat that’s just his or her size, your Scout Elf will:

  1. Use pancake batter to pour out bite-sized pancakes, being sure to flip them sooner than regular-sized pancakes to avoid burning.
  2. Stack the mini pancakes on a plate, and pour syrup over them.
  3. Pull up the Cheery Chair, and sit next to the breakfast they’ve made for you!
