What’s in the Box?
Materials:
- A shoebox, or similarly sized box
- An elf-sized box
- Two squares of fabric or tissue paper – one approximately the height and twice the width of the larger box; one approximately the height and twice the width of the smaller box
- Wrapping paper
- Scissors
- Tape and/or hot glue
Instructions:
- Your Scout Elf will cut a framing hole and holes big enough for hands on each box.
- They will wrap all the raw edges, sides and backs of each box.
- Then, they will add the fabric squares, using hot glue to secure in place, and then cut the curtain from the bottom to top so that it pulls back on each side.
- Next, they will place special mystery treats inside the boxes and pose nearby.
- When you arrive, you may use the larger box to play "What's in the Box?" with your family members. Maybe you'll leave a surprise inside your Scout Elf's box, too!
