Giant Elf Swing

Materials:

• The Elf on the Shelf Scout Elf
• One 4’10” Poseable Elf
• Empty toilet paper roll
• Decorative wrapping string
• Brown kraft paper
• Foamcore paper or heavy weight posterboard
• Decorative upholstery rope trim
• Hot glue
• Adhesive dots

Instructions:

1. Your elf and their bigger friend will use the foamcore or heavy weight posterboard to create a cylinder and then glue the ends together.
2. Next, they will wrap the kraft paper on the inside and outside of the cylinder to cover the foamcore or posterboard. It should now look like a large version of the toilet paper roll.
3. Using the decorative wrapping string for the smaller roll and the upholstery rope trim for the bigger roll, the elves will thread each through the cylinder rolls and loop back around to the top.
4. They will then tie the string and the rope off at the tops, before hanging the loops from a ceiling fan, a beam, curtain rod, or other high object.
5. Next, they will carefully sit on top of the seats of their swings, side by side. They might choose to fold their legs, wrap their mittens, and/or use adhesive dots to help stabilize themselves.
6. Finally, they will wait for you to discover their clever craft.
