About Elf Mates

Cute toy makers, cobblers and chefs who work for Santa, the Elf Mates are key members of The Elf on the Shelf Santaverse. Charming companions for kids, they have a mission to spread joy and kindness all year round.

Get to Know the Elf Mates

Each Elf Mate—whether it’s the cobbler, chef, or toy maker—has their own unique role in encouraging kindness and giving back. They’re the perfect companions to teach kids that Christmas is about more than just gifts—it’s about giving back!

How do Elf Mates work with The Elf on the Shelf?

Unlike Scout Elves who report for Santa, Elf Mates inspire good deeds and spread cheer year-round in the home. They’re a fun, affordable way to promote kindness and play. To introduce them with The Elf on the Shelf, create a rescue mission scene where Elf Mates “save” the Scout Elf by fixing shoes or preparing a treat. Use a mini sleigh made of toy parts or candy canes for a memorable family moment.
